I’ve been reading a bit here about import costs. If you are used to importing from China to US, UK or wherever, remember country trade agreements will affect your duty rates. Japan will have different trade agreements with China, for example, and rates will differ when importing here. Check out this table, and make sure your manufacturer writes the correct code. You may be able to change your HS code to reduce, or even remove your duty costs. It’s normally only the first 6 digits that will affect the rate.
