This may seem obvious, but it’s not. Many of the other big selling seasons in the West, such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, or even Christmas, are fairly minor in Japan. Sales are up in Q4, but not by much.

But Prime Day goes crazy here! By far the biggest day of the year. And it’s coming up. I’ve just applied for a lightening deal during the Prime Day season. I’ll see how that goes.

Either way, make sure you have stock for mid July. I had one of my best sales days last year, and I didn’t have any items on sale. Just lots of eyeballs. Personally, I’m trying to launch a number of products before mid July to get a good BSR boost.
