After telling everyone that Japan (& the EU) doesn’t have the new coupon system yet, I started seeing loads of coupons on Amazon Japan…

Now, I don’t know how long they’ve been there, but I jumped straight into Seller Central to get some of this coupon goodness that I have been hearing so much about from my US seller friends.

I looked, and I looked, but couldn’t see a thing. I did have a “coupon” tab show for one day last year, before the US rollout. But that link went to a 404 page, and was obviously a mistake by Amazon showing it on all marketplace accounts.

So I phoned up support, and they walked me through the “promotions” tab, which although is a coupon, is not THIS “coupon” system. Support in Japan were no help because they clearly don’t know about the new US coupon system. And then I noticed that all the products on the coupon page, were sold by…Amazon. Yup, clearly a Vendor Central perk. Bummer…

But on the plus side, it is way more likely that they will be rolling it out to Japan (and the EU), in which case I’m going to pounce on it like a pouncy cat like thing.

So I’ve just done a quick tip on something that none of you will be able to use. Not very useful really. Sorry…
